I wrote The Stars Don't Twinkle in Outer Space to actually film myself. Then I discovered the British Short Screenplay Competition (2003) and entered the screenplay. It won and the prize was to have the film produced. It took five long years of conflict & controversy, but the film was finally made on location in Budapest and also in London. It was released in 2008 and went on to be official selections in ten international film festivals. It won Best Live Action Short Film at Palm Springs (2009) and 1st Prize - Screenplay at Rhode Island (2009), both academy-qualifying venues.
